A 14-metre Christmas pop-up for Rituals in the grand atrium of King’s Cross station.
Rituals needed a Christmas presence inside King’s Cross station itself that could hold its own beneath the station’s famous crossed-roof atrium and stop travellers rushing between platforms 9, 10 and 11.
We built a 14-metre site around an oriental-themed metal framework hung with hundreds of folded origami cranes, centred on a 3.5m LED screen reading “A Wish For Happiness, the tradition of giving,” showing a woman releasing red origami cranes into the air. Matching lightboxes flanked the screen either side, with gift sets labelled Energising, Renewing, Calming and Rebalancing displayed on the counter beneath, red steel Rituals signage marking the site from across the concourse.
Positioned in one of London’s busiest transport hubs, the site gave Rituals a Christmas moment travellers stopped for despite being mid-journey, with the origami-crane screen becoming a genuine photo moment rather than just a gift display.
